Natalie Zimmerman, a 4th generation New Yawker, loves to play characters who use comedy consciously or subconsciously to cover a rich inner life bubbling beneath the surface.
The power she radiates on stage, belies her 5 foot 1 stature. Although she has played her share of ingenues, she can also harness a bad ass energy that commands the attention of her fellow actors and her audience.
Smitten with her acting class at age 10, Natalie later attended LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, the Northwestern Cherubs Program, received her BA in drama from Kenyon College, and spent a semester abroad in London at BADA.
She recently finished an acting residency in the highly competitive program at the Milwaukee Repertory Theater this May, where she played Fred's wife Ellen in A Christmas Carol, understudied the Nurse and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet (she had the opportunity to perform the latter role), and understudied the role of Sarah, the self declared disaster of her family, in Christine Quintana's new two-woman play Espejos: Clean.
From fragile waifs to intimidating royals, Natalie strives for a career that will enable her to inhabit the full range of human experience through the eyes of a small but mighty presence.

October 2024 – May 2025
Natalie is thrilled to announce that she is an Emerging Acting Resident at Milwaukee Repertory Theater in its 24/25 season.
